Bloom Into Spring Challenge - What I Got

Welcome to the Big Bloom into Spring Exchange Reveal,
a lovely Spring event hosted by Meagan at Local at Last
and Kyle & Lisha at One House One Couple.

My partner was Louise from Laid Off Mom. She has a pretty awesome blog (and daughter, family and general outlook on life) and you should definitely check her out!

Here's what I sent her
(boo on the one pot breaking)

I loved that in her package to me,
she sent me a great little handwritten note.

That is so not common nowadays.

In her actual package,
she sent me all sorts of great cards to write my own notes,
some funky tissues
(really great timing for my spring cold)
some chocolate (gotta love that thought)
and great necklace
and, of course
(cause she is thoughtful like that)
a little mini globe.

Awesomeness in a box!

Because I got sicker than sick,
her package was super late in getting to her.
I did send it pretty much carrier pigeon via China
(from Seattle to San Diego)
and might as well have taken it to SD with me
which is where I just got back from.

Alas.

Bloom Into Spring!
And have a great one!

Linking up to the linky party

Deep Spring Cleaning Secret Weapon

Whoa! Two posts in one day!
The world is ending.

clearly

This post is sponsored by Pine-Sol® Clean & Disinfect with Pine-Sol®: The Powerful Scent of Clean." I was compensated for this post as a member of Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all my own.

So.
We all KNOW that the only thing
I hate worse
than waking up early in the morning
to drive an hour each way to work,
is getting up
on any day
with the notion on my mind
that I NEED to clean something.
Now.
Before it gets way too far out of control.

I admit it.
Once,
I had help.
Those were the best 17 weeks of my life.
Not having to worry that things
were getting too far gone
because someone else would clean it up
no longer than 14 days later.

Don't you judge me.

You know what I missed when my cleaning lady came?
Sure.
The house looked clean.
And it didn't smell like anything.
And that was the problem.

When I was growing up,
THIS was the best smell ever

Original Scent Pine Sol meant that my mama was cleaning.
At the time,
I didn't appreciate having to get up on Saturday mornings
to clean my room.

But man, when I open a fresh bottle of Pine Sol,
I flash back to some of the best years of my life.

My mother - she's awesome like that.
She STILL cleans like it is no one's business.
But that is not the reason why I want her to move in with me.
Definitely not to clean up after me.
I'm a grown woman after all.

However, if she cleaned her own bathroom here with Pine Sol
and the smell wafted up the stairs...

Heaven.

Anyhow.
This weekend,
I got it in me,
that I would clean something.

Those somethings were my downstairs living room
(eeew...puppy)
and my master bathroom
(ewww...just, ewwww).

So I got dressed

And I grabbed a spray bottle.
My secret cleaning weapon for the bathroom?

I diluted some Pine Sol in my spray bottle
and went to TOWN in the bathtub
yes, the same tub that we had
washed a certain muddy puppy in
and promptly left the mud to dry on.

I'm far too much of a lady to show you photos of that
(ashamed)
but trust...that Pine Sol not only got my tub
from brown to white
(no doubt on that one)
but I went from Grumpy Dumpy Puppy Mommy pissed that she had to clean
to Super Sentimental Reminiscent Memory Lane Walker
soon as that Original Scent Pine Sol hit my nostrils.

By the time I got downstairs to steam clean the carpet,
I was so ready to clean, but only had managed to cart down
the Dyson and the spray bottle.

Nothing lifted my mood better than being able to clean
EVERYTHING with that spray bottle.
From the rained on window sills
to the bar counter tops
to the kicked and played on grime on my walls.

I was shocked, awed and happy as a clam
that I had found a new deep spring cleaning secret weapon.

Who knows.
I might just like cleaning after all!
Okay...that's a bit extreme.

Are you a little extreme when it comes to cleaning?

Want to do something fun with bloggie people offline?

Then run (no really, you only have until Monday the 19th so RUN)
to OneHouse|OneCouple and sign up for the Bloom into Spring Exchange.

Because:
A. Who doesn't like giving perfect strangers
(well, stranger singular in this case - you only get one partner)
your IRL mailing address?

B. Who doesn't like getting actual mail in the mail?

C. Who doesn't like shopping - especially for others?

D. Why the heck not?!?

Maybe we'll get linked up as spring buddies.
And I must say...someone (maybe me) is getting ready to open up an Etsy shop.
Full of Spring Stuff (and a bunch of other hoarded curated goods)
And though there is a $15 spending limit
If I already have it on hand, then any of those additions don't count towards the limit.
Right?

Don't you love how people interpret rules now a days?

I digress.
Get yourself over to OneHouse|One Couple and sign up today!
Who's in?
